The team behind WhatsApp has started testing a new feature. The feature in question lets users pin chats. Pinning a chat will result in it appearing at the top every time, reducing your time and effort that would have otherwise gone into finding it.
The feature, which is currently available in the beta version (2.17.162 or 163) of the app, lets you pin a maximum of 3 chats. If you try pinning a fourth chat, the app will display an error.

Up to three conversations can be pinned to the 'Chat' list. To pin a chat, users simply need to long press on a chat, and a pin icon appears next to the delete, archive, and mute option. Once pinned, the chat will move to the top of the list. To unpin a chat, long press on the chat to see the unpin option on top.
The feature is currently available only on WhatsApp Beta and not the regular version of the app. Users can sign up to Beta test the app from the Play store.
